These are a step up from the Rollerbones Bearings- A tried and true fave of roller derby skaters and skateboarders for years and years. The difference between these and the Rollerbones, or between any bearing in this price range honestly, is the quality and hardness of steel used in the components- specifically the races and the balls. The harder the steel, the more resilient to friction and rust (although no steel bearing is completely rust proof).

Keep these bearings clean and dry, treat them with a little Speed Cream if they get noisy on you once in awhile, and they will not slow your roll for a long, long time.
